Who is behind Golf Sustainable: First of all, two golfers who have found their profession in the golf industry for decades – Petra and Thomas Himmel. Journalist and golf course designer.

Why does Golf Sustainable exist: Because we have both been interested in the topic of sustainability in golf for a long time. Petra Himmel, because she is repeatedly confronted with questions about dealing with nature and resources on countless visits to the site. Thomas Himmel, because when it comes to golf course design, it is extremely important to take sustainability into account.

What was the trigger for founding the brand and this website: Sustainability is undoubtedly a big topic at the moment – especially in golf, which is significantly influenced by nature and in turn influences it itself. What we both lack is a higher-level platform where you can find collected information, exchange ideas, see suggestions.

On Golf Sustainable we will continuously present projects, news, interviews or news that deal with the topic. We are happy to take suggestions and look forward to your message or something new that we have overlooked. For us, the topic of sustainability also includes the mutual exchange of ideas and content.
