Glauber honours golf courses as “blossoming golf courses”.

Nine other golf courses in Bavaria have been honored as “ blossoming golf courses” by Environment Minister Thorsten Glauber. As part of the BGV Congress, he honoured the golf clubs for their activities to promote biodiversity. “Species and insect protection is a joint task. Together with our partners, we want to create even more species-rich habitats for plants and insects,” explained Glauber. “The natural open areas of the golf courses are true nature and insect paradises. The ‘blooming golf courses’ show that protecting the environment and using the sports facility can be very well reconciled. With our award, we want to motivate even more golf courses to use the great potential of their facilities for more biodiversity.”
