Reflo’s limited collection for The Open
To mark the 153rd staging of The Open in Royal Portrush, the long-established tournament and the British textile company Reflo have presented a joint, limited-edition clothing collection. The collaboration focuses on combining sporting functionality with environmentally friendly production. The collection, entitled Giant’s Capsule, includes polo shirts, hoodies, midlayers and caps and takes its design cues from the Northern Irish coastal landscape and the legend of the giant Finn McCool. The garments are made from recycled high-performance fabrics. According to the company, tree-planting and water-saving initiatives are associated with every purchase. The campaign was implemented at several locations along the Northern Irish coast, including the basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway and the cliffs of Portrush. International footballer Harry Kane, who acts as a brand ambassador for Reflo, was also involved. Reflo co-founder Rory MacFadyen explained that the collection was designed to reflect both the natural environment and the sporting heritage of Portrush. Matt Tomlinson, Head of Retail and Licensing at the R&A, spoke of a successful collaboration that focused on sustainability. The collection will be available from June 17, 2025 at The Open’s official fan store in Portrush and online at TheOpen.com and reflo.com. The edition is limited to 500 pieces per model.
