Sára Kousková, the most prominent advocate of sustainability in women’s golf, is on the road to success. Following her victory at the Jabra Ladies Open at the Evian Resort Club in France at the end of May, she has now secured victory at the Tenerife Women’s Open with rounds of 68, 69, 71 and 71 strokes. She thus relegated the German Helen Briem to second place.
With this double victory in two consecutive tournaments, the 25-year-old catapulted herself to second place in the Ladies European Tour money rankings. She is also the first Czech woman since Klára Davidson Spilková and Jana Melichová with two LET victories, and the first LET player in 2025 with consecutive successes.
Kousková, who has been promoting more environmental awareness in professional golf since 2025 as the Sustainable Golf Champion of the sustainability organization GEO, has also secured her entry to the major tournaments AIG Women’s Open and the Amundi Evian Championship thanks to her victories. The start at the Amundi Evian Championship fits into Kousková’s program anyway, as she is sponsored by the French investment company and is part of the Amundi Women’s Team, which aims to promote more equality in professional golf.
The Czech tries to make her professional life as sustainable as possible and also supports organizers of professional tournaments on site in communicating sustainable measures, most recently at the Dutch Ladies Open.
