The two are pioneers in the German-speaking golf scene when it comes to robotic mowers. Lecocq and Reisdorf have ventured into autonomous mowing of golf courses, although robots on golf fairways are still largely viewed with skepticism. In Germany, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.husqvarna.com\/uk\/lawn-garden\/professional\/professional-robotic-mowers\/automower-for-golf-courses\/\">Husqvarna, the world market leader in autonomous mowing<\/a>, robots were used to cut the fairways on a total of nine golf courses in 2021. Robotic lawn mowers are now increasingly being used on driving ranges. Die Anlagen, auf denen ihre Husqvarna-Roboter im Einsatz sind, k\u00f6nnten dabei nicht unterschiedlicher sein. Auf der einen Seite steht der kleine und relativ einfache 9-L\u00f6cher-Platz <a href=\"https:\/\/www.golfplatz-stenerberg.de\/\">Stenerberg in Schleswig-Holstein<\/a>. Reisdorf hat ihn mit ein paar Helfern mehr oder minder in Eigenregie angelegt. Als der Besitzer der Anlage 1997 in der h\u00fcgeligen Landschaft an der Schlei neun Bahnen baute, wollte er einen nat\u00fcrlichen Golfplatz schaffen, auf dem ressourcenschonend gearbeitet wird.<\/p>\n<p>Sein Kollege Lecocq ist im Greenkeeping-Team der First-Class-Anlage <a href=\"https:\/\/www.winstongolf.de\/\">Winston Golf<\/a> der Head-Greenkeeper und Spezialist f\u00fcr autonomes M\u00e4hen. Hier hat man auf dem 9-L\u00f6cher-Platz Kranich und auf dem 18-L\u00f6cher-Kurs Open insgesamt 23 Roboter-M\u00e4her im Einsatz. Es sind die Husqvarna Modelle 550, 520 und 535. \u201eIch bin ein Fan, wenn es um Technik und Digitales geht\u201c, sagt Lecocq. Zuerst muss der M\u00e4hraum f\u00fcr die Ger\u00e4te festgelegt werden. Ein Kabel an den Seiten der Bahnen begrenzt den Spielraum. \u201eWir wollten das Kabel 20 Zentimeter tief im Boden haben. Daf\u00fcr brauchten wir eine Maschine aus den USA. Damit hat es aber gut geklappt. Es ist aber aufw\u00e4ndig und auch nicht ganz billig.\u201c So lautet das Res\u00fcmee aus Winston Golf.<\/p>\n<p>Dann allerdings funktioniert der Ablauf \u00fcberraschend reibungslos. Wer auf den Bahnen am Stenerberg steht, sieht ab und an einen der flachen Roboter \u00fcber das Fairway kreuzen und nach getaner Arbeit in seinem kleinen Unterstand verschwinden. Aus dem heimischen Garten kennt man das ja. \u201eWir m\u00e4hen inzwischen bis ans Gr\u00fcn ran\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Reisdorf. \u201eDie Schnitth\u00f6he ist auf zw\u00f6lf Millimeter eingestellt\u201c, stellt Lecocq fest. \u201eDie Qualit\u00e4t ist genauso gut wie bei normalen M\u00e4hern und wir sparen auf diese Weise viel Zeit ein, die wir an anderer Stelle f\u00fcr noch mehr Detailarbeiten einsetzen, um am Ende ein noch besseres Golferlebnis erzeugen k\u00f6nnen.&#8221; Zwei Mann pro Tag seien auf diese Weise f\u00fcr andere Arbeiten auf dem Platz verf\u00fcgbar.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Kaum Probleme in der Praxis<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Welche Probleme tauchen im Betrieb mit den Robotern auf? \u201eZu Beginn des Jahres, wenn das Fairway von 15 Millimeter auf zw\u00f6lf Millimeter heruntergem\u00e4ht wird, gibt es mehr Schnittgut und manchmal hakt ein Roboter\u201c, erkl\u00e4rt Lecocq. Ansonsten aber ist er sich mit Reisdorf einig: Die autonomen M\u00e4her sind grunds\u00e4tzlich unkompliziert. Grunds\u00e4tzlich positiv, so die Einsch\u00e4tzung in Stenerberg. Man hat sich daran gew\u00f6hnt, dass die Roboter \u00fcber das Fairway fahren. Reisdorf hat beim DGV auch die entsprechenden Regelvorgaben eingeholt, falls im Turnier ein Roboter einen Ball bewegt oder \u00c4hnliches. Auch in Winston haben die Mitglieder die kleinen M\u00e4her akzeptiert.<\/p>\n<p>Die Vorteile der Roboter liegen neben der Einsparung der Arbeitskraft auf der Hand und sind inzwischen auch durch Studien erwiesen.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Der L\u00e4rm der normalen M\u00e4her f\u00e4llt weg.<\/li>\n<li>Es ist kein Treibstoff n\u00f6tig. Kein Aussto\u00df von CO2.<\/li>\n<li>Im Idealfall wird der Strom durch eine eigene Photovoltaik-Anlage erzeugt. Dies ist zum Beispiel in Stenerberg der Fall.<\/li>\n<li>Die M\u00e4hzeiten k\u00f6nnen in die Nacht oder in den fr\u00fchen Morgen oder sp\u00e4ten Abend verlegt werden.<\/li>\n<li>Durch die N\u00e4hrstoffr\u00fcckf\u00fchrung ist in der Regel weniger D\u00fcnger n\u00f6tig.<\/li>\n<li>Das Schnittbild ist durch st\u00e4ndiges M\u00e4hen sehr gleichm\u00e4\u00dfig.<\/li>\n<li>Kraftstoff und \u00d6l k\u00f6nnen nicht auslaufen.<\/li>\n<li>Husqvarna hat inzwischen auf umweltfreundliche Lithium Ionen Akkus umgestellt,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Fairway-Kit verbessert Schnittqualit\u00e4t auf Spielbahnen<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mit der Einf\u00fchrung eines speziellen Fairway-Kits durch die Firma Husqvarna ist auch die Schnittqualit\u00e4t nach Aussagen von Lecocq noch einmal deutlich gestiegen. Die Fairways in Winston Golf, wo seit Jahren die Senioren-Tour zu Gast ist, gen\u00fcgen offenbar selbst h\u00f6chsten Anspr\u00fcchen. Daneben verf\u00fchren sie offenbar auch Andere zum Nachmachen. W\u00e4hrend in Deutschland, \u00d6sterreich und der Schweiz noch z\u00f6gerlich mit der Thematik umgegangen wird, sieht man die M\u00e4herflotten in Nordeuropa, das in Sachen Nachhaltigkeit im Golfsport allerdings ohnehin als fortschrittlicher gilt, h\u00e4ufiger.<\/p>\n<p>In Hirsala Golf, zweimal Austragungsort der Finnish Open, sind die kleinen Roboter inzwischen auch Standard. Nach einem Besuch in Winston Golf bei Erwan Lecocq war der finnische Greenkeeper-Kollege begeistert von der Leistungsf\u00e4higkeit der kleinen Roboter-Flotte. Bei STERF l\u00e4uft seit Dezember 2019 in Zusammenarbeit mit Husqvarna das Projekt ROBO-GOLF. Der Deutsche Golf Verband lie\u00df in den Jahren 2018 und 2019 von ILOS eine Studie zur Automatisierten Rasenpflege auf Golfpl\u00e4tzen erstellen.<\/p>\n<div class=\"_3d-flip-book
