He has brought the golf course to the <strong>Gold Award at Golf &amp; Nature<\/strong>, participates in the <a href=\"https:\/\/bayerischer-golfverband.de\/bluehpakt-bayern\">Bl\u00fchpakt Bayern project<\/a> and maintains active contact with the <strong>Landesbund f\u00fcr Vogelschutz<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tips for beginners on the topic of biodiversity<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>What are the most important tips for all those golf courses that want to do something to enhance biodiversity on the course, but don&#8217;t have a lot of financial resources and possibly not too much knowledge in the field of ecology?<\/p>\n<p>For Beer, the journey begins in the mind: knowledge costs nothing at first. &#8220;First of all, the greenkeeper has to know his areas.&#8221; Awareness of where the soil is rich in humus and where it is sandy or gravelly, knowledge of the sun&#8217;s incidence and precise observation of the flow of play &#8211; all this creates a complete picture of the golf course at the start. Woodpeckers, insect larvae, deadwood fungi and bacteria &#8211; they all ensure that deadwood remains integrated into the biological cycles.
